Issue mandates that machines can check and lawyers can read.
In the Mandate Studio, people and organisations create mandates from structured templates with legal wording — described in plain language, issued as a signed credential.
The problem
An agent that cancels, buys or books needs more than an API key: it needs a mandate with scope, limit and term — with traceable, exportable evidence for audits and disputes. That is exactly what the Mandate Studio issues.
Describe instead of configure
You say in plain language what the agent may do — Mandact structures scope, limits and conditions from it and shows its interpretation for confirmation. The AI never proposes limits on its own; it only structures what you say.
Anchored in law
Every template exists in versions for Switzerland, Germany and Austria. The machine-readable and the human-readable version are bound together inseparably by a hash.
Only with signing authority
Whoever issues a mandate needs power of representation: sole or joint signature, Prokura, commercial agency — with reference to the commercial register. A joint signatory activates nothing alone. An expired representation issues no more mandates.
Limits no amount can express
Not every action has a monetary value. A mandate therefore also limits the resource (test environment instead of production), the quantity, the commitment period and the reach. If a limit is set and the action does not state the value, it is rejected — leaving it out is not a way around it.
The Studio warns before operations do
If you choose an action type that requires a human signature, the Studio tells you immediately — not at the first rejected request. For notarisation it tells you that no agent can ever perform it.
Frequently asked questions
+How long does issuing a mandate take?
Under three minutes for individuals, under ten minutes for organisations with four-eyes approval.
+Can a mandate be unlimited?
No. Every mandate has an end of validity (at most 24 months) and scope limits. For very broad mandates the Studio warns before signing.
